Round 2 of the 2023 FIA African Rally Championship namely the Equator Rally in Kenya will be postponed for the time being. The KMSF (Kenya Motorsport Federation) is in discussions with the FIA (International Automobile Federation) regarding a revised date for the event. The main obstacle is funding as no feasible sponsorship to host the event is yet secured.
No official statement has been issued from KMSF on the matter. The African Rally Championship will keep to the facts of the situation and inform our Fans and Rally fraternity accordingly.
We trust that a positive solution will be found to overcome this obstacle and wish the organizers well in their efforts doing so.
