As many of us recall, the Safari Rally was an exciting and adrenalin-filled event that took place in Kenya. The dedication and sacrifices that competitors made in order to reach the end and hopefully be victorious are not forgotten.
Now, there is good news: a Kenya Safari Memorial Drive is being planned. While details are still being worked out, it is clear that this will be an event worth attending. Whether you’re a veteran driver or new comber, this will be a chance to remember those who have gone before us while also enjoying the thrill of competition.

The organizer for this event wanted to plan a drive that would retrace the routes of the 1970s Safari Rallies. They did not want this to be a competition and there will be no timing involved; they simply wanted to enjoy the routes and scenery of these legendary rallies.
The event is planned for October 1-6, 2023, and the organizer has shared some information regarding the planned route for this memorial drive.

Day 1 Nairobi-Eldoret, Day 2 Eldoret-Naivasha, Day 3 Naivasha-Amboseli, Day 4 Amboseli-Diani, Day 5 Diani-Tsavo Kilaguni (Tsavo West), Day 6 Kilaguni-Nairobi.

This is for sure an event worthy of marking the calendars for. Does this stir up feelings of excitement? Get in touch with Surinder Thatthi on WhatsApp – +254 733 730 556
