At an awards ceremony held at the Kasarani Stadium last night, Karan Patel was honoured with the title of 2022 Kenyan Motor Sports Personality of The Year. Patel is a notable figure in the motorsports world, having been crowned as the Kenyan National Rally Champion and achieving first runner-up in last season’s African Rally Championship. Not forgetting that a driver can not achieve success on the podium without their Co-Drivers. Tauseef Kahn deserves his equal place next to Karan. Additionally, progress has been made on another monumental endeavour, WRC Safari Rally project’s target to plant 19 million trees – which is now halfway complete.

At this year’s 2022 KMSF Annual Awards Ceremony, Gurvir Bharbra was presented with a prestigious accolade: the ASN Presidents award for contribution to motorsports. His sterling efforts in overseeing the Planning and managing of WRC Safari Kenya Rally as Clerk of Course, plus being part of the FIA Stewards corps in Africa, have been incredibly admirable and thus naturally deserving of such recognition.

Our friend is known for giving credit to his entire team, and this speaks volumes.
Pleasant suprise to be awarded the ASN Presidents award for contribution to motorsports at the 2022 KMSF Annual Awards Ceremony.
Truly humbled.
Dedicated to my entire team of the WRC Safari Rally Kenya Safari Rally Kenya
Not forgetting the numerous other recipients of awards. Congratulations and many thanks for your tireless efforts and dedication to our wonderful sport of Rallying. May it live a long and prosperous life on our beautiful continent of Africa
