The Tanzanian Motorsport Federation informed the FIA African Rally Championship that, despite their best efforts, they would have to cancel the 2024 round in Tanzania. The organizers failed to secure adequate sponsorship for the running of the event.
The African Rally Championship’s next event will take place in Burundi in September. The precise date for the RALLYE INTERNATIONAL DU BURUNDI is September 20–22. After welcoming Burundi back to the calendar in 2023, the organizers staged a memorable spectacle. The rally included outstanding stages and spectacular spectator zones. Last year’s gathering featured a festival-like vibe that was tough to ignore.
The “new kid on the block” received a standing ovation from everyone. The competitors had a fantastic experience, and the safety delegate was impressed (which does not happen often) by the high levels of safety maintained during the tournament.
