The <\/em><em>Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally 2025<\/em><em> is here, and if you think it\u2019s just another event on the ARC calendar, think again. This is the <strong>mid-season battleground<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> the <\/em><em>make-or-break point<\/em><em> in the race for the African Rally Championship crown.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Leading the charge (for now) is Uganda\u2019s <strong>Yasin Nasser<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> expertly navigated by <strong>Ali Katumba<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> sitting pretty at <strong>63 points<\/strong>. But with the halfway point here and the pressure mounting, he\u2019ll need more than luck in Rwanda<strong>. <\/strong><strong>He wants max points, but he\u2019ll need to stay far away from the brewing storm between Karan Patel and Samman Vohra<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>But don\u2019t let that leaderboard fool you. Yasin isn\u2019t lounging on a Rwandan hammock. Far from it. <strong>Karan Patel<\/strong>, the reigning ARC champion, isn\u2019t used to being in 6th place. He only ha<strong>s <\/strong><strong>35 points<\/strong>, all from his win in Uganda, and trust us, <\/em><em>Karan doesn\u2019t like playing catch-up<\/em><em>. He\u2019s still chasing his first points this season, but don\u2019t be fooled. The Pearl Rally showdown between him and Patel was <span style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);\">box office<\/span>.<\/em><em> Rwanda could be <strong>Subaru vs. Evo X<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong>the rematch fans have been waiting for.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><br>In the ARC2 category, we\u2019ve got a spicy one. <strong>Nikhil Sachania<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> Kenya\u2019s incredible wheelchair-bound warrior with 50 points, had a spotless rally in Uganda. But this weekend, he\u2019s not dancing alone. <strong>Michael Mukula Jr<\/strong>, Uganda\u2019s reigning ARC2 champion, has just dropped his entry \u2013 and dropped jaws. Mukula has no points yet in 2025, and he\u2019s hungrier than a rally fan at a nyama choma stall. Rwanda\u2019s rally champion <strong>Christian Kanangire<\/strong> is strapping in with one goal \u00a0domination. But someone please warn the marshals: <strong>Giancarlo Davite<\/strong> is also in the mix, and these two have a rivalry that could set fire to a wet forest. It&#8217;s<strong> ego vs. ego<\/strong>, and quite frankly, <\/em><em>Bugesera isn&#8217;t ready<\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><br>Let\u2019s shift gears literally. Rwanda\u2019s rally sweetheart Kalimpinya Queen is about to get a visit from a fierce duo across the border. Introducing the mum-and-daughter squad, Tinashe Gatimu and co-driver Caroline Gatimu, in their matching Subaru GC8. This isn\u2019t just a rally \u2013 it\u2019s Fast &amp; Furious: Women&#8217;s Edition. These ladies aren\u2019t here to wave flags; they\u2019re here to take trophies.<br>Meanwhile, Uganda is sending in the chaos brigade. Joshua Muwanguzi, in his flashy purple Subaru N12, is not coming to sip milk tea \u2013 he\u2019s coming to throw gravel and spray champagne.
