SASOL RALLY (APR 17-18) ARC2/7 - FIA African Rally Championship

Mark Cronje/Robin Houghton dominated the first day of the Sasol Rally. Heavy overnight rain in the Sabie area made the going tricky, while persistent light rain made things even worse. Leeroy Poulter/Elvene Coetzee are 2nd and Henk Lategan/Barry White are third. Chad van Beurden/Nico Swartz have a healthy lead in S1600.

2015 TRAVEL FUND FROM THE FIA
ARC registered drivers benefit from the FIA Travel Fund at the Sasol Rally.
The FIA African Rally Championship calendar for 2015 has been published and the FIA has also created a “Travel Fund” to help entrants to travel to ARC rallies to increase participation in the Championship. The senior officials of the FIA ARC 2015 have worked on a distribution of the travel fund some examples of the money benefit for ARC Registered drivers is between Euros 170 to Euro 500 per event depending on the distance travelled. These funds will be signed off by the event Stewards and then payment arranged. Also note the 2015 ARC Regulations especially Articles 4.4.1 and 4.4.2, which allow South African homologated cars and also Historic Cars to enter and score points in the 2015 FIA African Rally Championship.
Round 2 of the 2015 FIA African Rally Championship started this morning in Sabie, South Africa and below are photos from the start with all the South African top drivers.
